Terms & Conditions for Vehicle Rental

1. General Terms

• The vehicle is rented under the ownership of Lamagalao Travels (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”).
• The renter (hereinafter referred to as “the Passenger”) agrees to comply with all terms and conditions mentioned below.
• Only individuals authorized by the company are permitted to drive the rented vehicle, subject to the submission of the vehicle’s registration certificate (RC), insurance and pollution certificate

2. Booking and Payment

• The booking must be confirmed prior to vehicle collection.
• A vehicle rental platform fee of ₹1 will be charged per trip for up to 3 months from the date of registration.

3. Self-Drive Rentals

• For self-drive rentals, the driver/vehicle owner must collect a valid photo ID (such as an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport) and a valid driving license before handing over the vehicle.
• Copies or digital scans of these IDs shall be retained by the Company for verification and record purposes.
• The vehicle will not be handed over without completion of the ID verification process.
• The vehicle must be returned at the agreed location, date, and time, in the same condition as received.
• Additional charges may apply for late returns, fuel shortage, or damages detected during inspection.
• Security deposit, if applicable, shall be refundable after the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition.
• The Passenger is liable for any damages, traffic violations, or penalties incurred during the rental period.

4. Responsibilities of the Passenger

• The Passenger is responsible for the safe operation and care of the vehicle during the rental period.
• The Passenger must not use the vehicle for illegal activities, racing, towing, or subleasing.

5. Insurance and Liability

• In case of an accident, the Passenger must immediately inform the Company and follow the required insurance and legal procedures (during self drive).
• In case of an accident, the driver/vehicle owner must immediately inform the Company and follow the required insurance and legal procedures.
• The Passenger shall bear costs not covered under insurance, including negligence, violation of laws, or contractual breaches (during self drive).

6. Cancellation Policy

• Once the ride is accepted, cancellation will not be allowed.

7. Jurisdiction

• All disputes arising under this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dima Hasao district, Assam.

Acknowledgment

By signing this agreement, the driver/vehicle owner confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions stated above.
